The Faces of Our Organization
Dr. Charles Chidi Ehirim

Charles Ehirim is a graduate of University of Ife, Ile Ife, (now Obafemi Awolowo University) Osun State, Nigeria. He majors in Medical Rehabilitation with specialization in Physiotherapy. He holds a doctorate degree in Human Kinetics. He is a physiotherapist par excellence, a professional to the core and a man who puts all he has to bring physiotherapy to lime light; with core competencies in Back pain mitigation and stroke rehabilitation. He has an unassuming personality.Charles Ehirim is a specialist in Chronic back pain & pain management. He has been practising physiotherapy since 1986 at Onitsha and has treated thousands of patients with physiotherapy-related conditions over the years, but considers his breakthroughs in the realm of Chronic back pain, his greatest personal and professional achievement. He is the Chief executive, Omega Physiotherapy & Back Pain Care clinics and lives in Onitsha from where he oversees other branches in the country.His expertise, exposure and empathy for people living with Stroke disabilities and Chronic back pain challenge in particular led him to establish three non-governmental organizations – Back pain Care Foundation, Stroke disability care Initiative and Omega Free physiotherapy Mission with the aim of organizing capacity building workshops, seminars and providing therapeutic recipe to those faced with intractable back pain and stroke disability respectively. He is a columnist with many National Health Magazines and Newspapers with his column Back Pain & You. Charles Chidi Ehirim is a regular guest speaker on back pain mitigation with many National Radio Stations. He was awarded Millennium Development Goal’s Ambassador in February 2010 by the United Nations Agency for his immense contribution in back pain mitigation using his foundations. He is married with children.
